Most societies in human history have been very static. Not much changed day to day from generation to generation. Knowledge was passed down through storytelling. And it took at least a century for that knowledge to double.
Everything changed in the twentieth century.
All of a sudden, knowledge was being accumulated at a much faster rate. Doubling every 25 years…then 10…then 2…
And now, the amount of knowledge we accumulate will soon double in just 12 hours.
“The world is changing so fast” is an understatement compared to the last 5,000 years.
This is the first time in human history that changes are happening fast enough to actually notice.
The question is, Are you going change with it?
You can no longer opt-out of just sticking with the tried and true formula that got us here. You can’t look behind us to see what others have done.
There is no map. No step-by-step set of instructions.
We don’t know what tomorrow is going to bring. We don’t know which technologies are going to be developed, which jobs will evolve and which ones will disappear.
The knowledge tsunami is coming. The iPhone changed everything in just 10 years. The internet of things and augmented tech will do it again in less time.
