There will always be noise being made when you are making change happen.
Someone from somewhere will be upset in some tower.
But no matter.
What you are chasing is the signal.
Some think this is where creativity is born.
I think this is where we go to make something out of nothing.
We make the future.
At least we believe we do.
As a result, it shifts our power into our hands.
When you have power, you also must handle the responsibility.
Responsibility is a delegate thing.
Some run away from that.
Others will run with it.
I’m sad because I was expecting something else.
I’m disappointed because how my boss treated me. I though we had a better relationship than this.
I’m annoyed at the how slow the check out person is at Costco. After all I have a game to catch.
You get the point. Expectations are the killer of joy.
When you lose the love of who you are you tend to be lost in regret.
When you realize, however, that you can change then you see the future as an opportunity.
Everything has meaning once we assign a value to it.
Everything has value once we tell a story.
And if we don’t care, it simply means we haven’t found a story that creates value which in term makes something meaningful.
In other words, meaning comes from value. Value comes from a story.
(Something with no meaning doesn’t have any value to that person either. But that doesn’t mean everyone agrees.)
Hopefully, not buried in the past.
The thing about heroes is that they are made of the same stuff as everyone else.
What’s important isn’t always the path we choose but rather if there is something important we are walking towards.
A long walk is way more rewarding than a short one.
It’s easy to get lost searching for a particular answer for a peculiar problem.
But usually we are just stallingand hoping to find the easy solution.
The answers we seek are often in the places we don’t want to look.
If we are quick to forgive, we also avoid future problems.
Meaning, when you feel like you are through with someone whoever you replace them with also comes with more baggage.
Inheriting a whole new set of problems isn’t the solution.
The grass isn’t always greener.
Perhaps, your emotional energy is better spent actually solving the problem in front of you instead of seeking a new one to solve.
We all need reminders that we can overcome adversity. That we can be strong. That we can have courage.
All these feelings come can go.
