Everything comes to an end.
Including our goals, our dreams, and of course, our lives.
While that seems morbid or sad, it’s also a reminder:

Being at a low point offers opportunities for reflection. Because when everything is going right, we are too busy enjoying the ride.
Adversity can be a gift to get back on track in the areas we have neglected.
That reality is far from the thoughts we think, the story we tell, the feelings we feel.
It’s a separate thing that we can never fully understand.
All we have is what we see and experience.
You’re still alive. And maybe that makes you still lucky as hell.
Batman had Alfred.
Luke had Yoda.
We all need a trusted confidant.
Even the strongest among us couldn’t do it alone.
Is sometimes you get burned.
And it makes difficult to extend that to others again.
But if we don’t ever take a chance, you’ll always end up alone.
When we hear noise, we don’t assume it is footsteps. But too often, we think it’s a pack of zebras. We can’t turn this off. But we can respond to it to make a better, more informed decision.
It’s funny the pace of life. We move in such a fast pace, therefore, experience time faster. Yet, we think we have this all under control, understand what is happening all around us, have a handle on it, and ignore the blind spots. Sometimes, we discover that something right in front of us was the thing we didn’t know we were missing. And sometimes, we will find that’s the very thing we been looking for all along.
Figuring out what works is essential on the path of better. Because once we understand how things are done around here, we can make them better.
You can’t make an itch go away if you leave it alone. The problem is the temporary relief of scratching an itch. The trick then becomes how long can you hold that tension of scratching the itch.
